Helpful Hobbies

The Helpful Hobbies Program is brought to you by the S.E.R.V.E. Committee — Seniors Engaging in Rewarding Volunteer Experiences.

Connect, create, and give back. The Helpful Hobbies Program brings seniors together to share their passion for crafting while making a meaningful difference in the community.

Participants enjoy a welcoming space to socialize and work on personal projects, collaborate on group initiatives, and contribute to causes that matter. From handmade heat bags and reusable shopping bags to dishcloths and beyond, our volunteers craft items that directly support the Interfaith Food Bank. We also host annual craft sales and maker markets to further our impact.

Want to try something new? Our volunteer-led workshops are open to everyone — no experience necessary. Come learn a new hobby or skill in a friendly, supportive setting. On workshop days, our fully equipped space is available to the community free of charge, with all supplies and equipment provided. Click here to see any upcoming workshops.
